Quality Assurance

Implementing a Quality Assurance system can help your organisation to:

  • Provide a better standard of service to your users
  • Improve the way that your organisation runs
  • Develop consistency across the organisation
  • Improve satisfaction for users, staff, trustees and volunteers
  • Increase communication and motivation amongst staff
  • Set targets, monitor against them and develop new ways of working

There are many different types of quality assurance systems, so it is vital to choose the one which meets the needs of your organisation. VODA's Development Co-ordinator supports groups to examine the different systems that are available and identify the best one for your group. Contact Carrie McKenzie by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. PQASSO

PQASSO is a quality assurance system designed by the Charities Evaluation Services (CES).

It is a self-assessment tool for use amongst small and medium sized voluntary and community groups to measure and improve their performance. This quality assurance system is well known and has a good reputation amongst funders who support the sector. Levels 2 and 3 are now endorsed by the Charity Commission. VODA's Development Worker is a qualified PQASSO Mentor and can offer groups and organisations free advice on implementing the system until October 2012.
