VODA hosts a number of projects. These are currently:

  • Sector Connector Connecting local businesses with community groups to share skills and resources.
  • Skills Builder: Increasing the employability of young people in North Tyneside.
  • Big Local We are the 'local trusted organisation' for Big Local Whitley Bay, which will see an area of the town receive £1million of Big Local funding which the local community will decide how to use to improve their area.
  • Film Nation: Young people in North Tyneside getting a chance to learn new filmmaking skills and see their films on the big screen.
  • Good Neighbours: Bringing real benefits to communities through volunteering.
  • National Citizen Service: The popular programme for 16 and 17 years with social action projects giving North Tyneside a boost.
