NCS Team Leaders
North Tyneside VODA is delivering the National Citizen Service programme to 150 young people aged 16-17 during the summer holidays. We require 20 committed youth workers with experience in delivering youth programmes to diverse groups of young people. Each team of 15 young people will be supported by two NCS Team Leaders to complete a four-week programme of local and residential activities (see overleaf for breakdown of activities and dates).
The role will require strong communication skills and you must be able to negotiate challenging situations with young people. You will have a commitment to principles of social action projects, supporting young people to plan, deliver and evaluate their own community projects.
This role will involve a maximum of 190 hours of work paid at £12 per hour and is offered on a consultancy basis only. Organisations dealing with young people are also encouraged to apply.

Linskill and North Tyneside Community Development Trust
40 hours per week, £19,000 - £21,500 pa (incrementally)
Linskill and North Tyneside Community Development Trust (LNTCDT) have a vacancy for a Nursery Manager to manage and further develop their recently upgraded Nursery from its premises at the Linskill Centre, North Shields.
The role involves providing high quality, flexible childcare for families within the local community and ensuring the day to day operation of the nursery to the highest standards, ensuring that the best possible environment and care are provided for young children. This department is soon to expand and the Nursery Manager will be expected to have a proactive input into this project.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of running a successful nursery in a senior role and proven experience of line management of staff. They must also be qualified to Level 3 or above and have a good knowledge of childcare requirements and regulations.
Experience in managing budgets, hitting targets and communicating effectively, is also essential for this role.
