Contributions sought for Government's
Third Sector Action Plan
The Office of the Third Sector (OTS)
is currently inviting suggestions from the voluntary and community
sector to inform the development of a Third Sector Action Plan to help
the sector through economic downturn.

Consultation on Tyne &
Wear Bus Strategy
VODA
has received a copy of the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority
and NEXUS document setting out their draft Bus Strategy up to 2012. The
consultation on the document closes on 19 December 2008. The
Community Network Team will co-ordinate a response to the strategy based
on comments from the Third Sector. If there is enough interest, we'll
also arrange a meeting in early December to share views and shape the
response.

Consultation on
Safeguarding Adults Guidance
The
government is reviewing the No Secrets guidance on keeping adults safe.
It has opened a consultation and invites responses from a wide range of
stakeholders, from lawyers and social workers to the public and service
users.
The consultation closes on
Saturday 31 January.
