Coastal Area Action Plan
Work has started on a Coastal Plan for North Tyneside that will form part of the Local Development Framework (LDF). The Coast Plan will outline sites for development, improve the environment and seek to provide places that people can enjoy.

The first document relating to this is called an Issues Paper and is currently out for consultation until Monday 15 June. North Tyneside Council are keen to gather opinions that can be worked upon through the plan-making process.

Consultation on the Compact Code of Practice
for Community Groups
The Code of Practice for Community Groups has been produced and has been released for consultation.

This document describes how we can enhance the important role undertaken by Community Groups within North Tyneside. It sets out to describe what members of the Community Groups can expect from other Community Groups and their members. Click here to view the document.

North Tyneside Allotment Strategy 2009 - 2015
North Tyneside Council has produced a draft Allotment Strategy, which outlines current allotment allocation, sets
a local standard for allotments and outlines a vision for
the future. A 12-week consultation on the strategy is now underway, giving people, organisations and groups the chance to put forward their comments, ideas and opinions.
