Training

VODA's training programme for 2008 is now in progress.
Again, there are a range of courses to meet the needs of the voluntary and community sector in North Tyneside. Courses include, 'Volunteer Recruitment & Selection' and Computerised Book-keeping' and many more...

There will be a cost for participants, but again, with the help
of some local funders a bursary scheme is in place to reduce costs to smaller organisations.

We are taking bookings now on a first come, first served basis, and expect demand to be high so book now!

New training for September 2008:

In partnership with VODA, NAVCA is hosting a workshop on 'Empowering the Voluntary Sector'
for Voluntary and Community groups.
Many organisations find it difficult to balance the need to
work with public bodies and to challenge unfair practice.
The Empowering the Voluntary Sector workshop provides clear information and guidance to help you to make appropriate challenges.

The workshop is being held on Tuesday 23 September at Church House in Percy Main. It costs £15 for VCS groups (with no employed staff) and £25 for all other groups.
